I’ll keep this brief as the stories I’ve written are far more interesting than my own!
I was born and have lived my entire life in Scotland, mainly in the west and central belt. I am also half-Irish on my father’s side so as well as having strong Celtic roots, I have a particular appreciation for mythology and the imaginative stories that our lore has inspired for centuries. I also studied Psychology at university so building grounded and relatable characters is at the heart of my writing.
While I enjoy a wide range of genres in literature, my primary focus has always been around fantasy and adventure stories. Being able to invent new lands with unique creatures and magical powers has always intrigued me so after absorbing mountains of stories and analysing the smallest flaws, I finally decided it was time to try it myself and see just how difficult it was to write a book from start to finish.
The idea for my first book was formed while walking up and the down the menswear department of a retail store as a Sales Assistant and continued to build a step at a time. If you are thinking of writing your own book, I urge you to stick with it. You will get frustrated, tired, even bored at times, but if you push through, it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you can ever have.
